Crookhill Park Golf Course

Set in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Conisborough, Crookhill offers a full 18-hole parkland course.

The Dome

Stay all day and well into the evening for swimming, ice-skating and entertainment galore! The Dome boasts a 7-pool water world for water babies of all ages, 2 ice rinks and top class acts offering music, comedy and drama.

Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre

You’ll be glad you packed your water wings because fishing isn’t the only water sport that South Yorkshire excels in! Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre offers Kayaking, Canoeing and even open-water swimming with experienced instructors and all equipment provided.

The Vulcan Experience

The iconic Vulcan Bomber with its unique shape and guttural roar once dominated the skies over England. Those flying days came to an end some years ago but you can still enjoy the experience and find out about the role this remarkable jet aircraft played in the defence of these shores at The Vulcan Experience at the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum.

Doncaster Racecourse

Where snow is reputed to be brought in on the tail of the last horse home in the St Ledger! The St Ledger Stakes is the oldest classic horse race in the world and now forms the grand finale to the 4-day St Ledger Festival, which is held every September.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

An amazing walk-through experience where you’ll encounter more than 400 animals representing 70 different species. The park houses the UK’s only Polar Bears and many otherwise rare and endangered species.

Doncaster Markets

Donnie Market is amongst the very finest traditional market with a long history and pedigree. Recently extensively refurbished and extended, this complex of indoor and outdoor markets includes more than 400 shops and stalls! If you can’t find anything to temp you here, it probably doesn’t exist!

Conisborough Castle

Said to have inspired Sir Walter Scott to write the classic novel’ ‘Ivanhoe’ Step back to Medieval England at the imposing Conisborough Castle whose Keep tower dominates the local landscape. Built in the twelfth century for Lord and Lady De Warenne, Conisborough Castle is now an English Heritage property.

Ashworth Barracks Museum

A great place to visit with guided tours of the site that explains British Military history from the point of view of the British armed services from World War 1 right up to the present day.

Cusworth Hall Museum & Park

Offering stunning views, plenty to see and do, a delightful tearoom and dogs are welcome in the grounds. Even better, entry is free!
